Friends of Ridgeway School

Welcome to The Friends of The Ridgeway School

We are a group of parents and carers who meet up to help support each other, share ideas, organise events and support the school.

We have regular meetings to plan events and fundraising activities and enjoy a meal out a couple of times a year.

The Friends cover the cost of the Christmas Panto, a Christmas present for each child and a summer trip for each class. This year we are also planning to fund equipment for each class which will directly benefit all our children.

During the year we partake in events such as Picnic in the Park, Farmers Market and organise the Christmas Fair held here at the school. Our previous purchases have included a specialist buggy, musical equipment and very recently, some very handsome looking playground equipment.

As parents and carers, our own wellbeing is important too and we recently attended a very enjoyable informative mindfulness workshop. We are always looking for new ideas and suggestions are welcome via the Ridgeway WhatsApp, via Karen Midgen our Chairwomen.

A Friends newsletter will be published via the school website in the Autumn and Spring terms with dates of events and activities.
